Not took driving lessons 15+ yrs, this was the best thing i have done. I found the perfect driving instructor, who has alot of patience and explains everything so i understood. Great price and very truthful with you on everything you do while driving, be it wrong or right, you are always told the truth. So glad i chose carlisle driver training, would never have got as far as i have, without his great teaching.

Had a few instructors prior, some good some bad but bill managed to build upon what I knew before and work on bad habits and was very calm and helpfulLovely person to spend a few hours in a car with and ultimately got me to pass my testFully recommend

I had a few prior lessons before starting with Bill, which felt seamless; I found his lessons really structured & organised; he’s friendly and patient, and flexible with working around work for lesson timings.During this covid thing he clearly takes necessary precautions & follows guidelines. Highly recommended for sure, nothing bad to say

Bill is a fab driving instructor! Highly recommend! Easy going manner, really chill, but takes proper driving seriously. Is considerate around fears and anxieties, and is a great encourager!

Bill is a cracking teacher. He is laid back and patient which makes it easy for you to feel comfortable with him and a generally top bloke all round. Would definitely highly recommend!

I came across Carlisle Driver Training in a Google search. I reached out and Bill (the owner and nicest dude ever) responded right away. I explained that my foreign US driver’s licence would be expiring soon and that I urgently needed to pass my practical exam so that I would still be able to drive in this country. Bill was very accommodating and scheduled me in right away.The first lesson was more of an assessment and then afterwards we decided that I would take 4 more lessons to prepare me for the exam. Bill’s teaching style was awesome. He gave clear direction and explained things very thoroughly. He also nagged me (in a good way) about being sure to check my mirrors constantly. After driving for 28 years in America, I’m sure I got a little bit lazy about that. But with Bill’s guidance, my driving skills were completely refreshed. Thanks to Bill, I passed my practical exam on the first try. And I only had two minor faults. I can’t speak highly enough about Bill and Carlisle Driver Training. If you need a great driving instructor and prefer someone who is friendly but direct, then most definitely choose Bill!! I highly recommend it!

Bill is very friendly and super patient. I felt so comfortable with him and honestly don’t think I could have passed with anyone else! I was very well prepared for my driving test as we had went on my test route previously.

Bill is a very pleasant driving instructor who helped me pass first time. He made me feel comfortable behind the wheel and was always very helpful. I would highly recommend for anyone who is wanting to learn to drive! Thank you Bill
